After graduating from high school in 1997, Shalynn moved to Calgary to attend the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). After 3 1/2 years of full time studies where she majored in accounting and business, she moved to Victoria to start a family.
With a passion for small business accounting, she became self-employed and started providing accounting services for a wide variety of industries including law offices, restaurants, contractors, health care offices, real estate offices, and a wide variety of retail businesses. In 2012, Shalynn joined the NKPG team where she is now a Staff Accountant.
When not being a full time mom, Shalynn volunteers her time as the treasurer for her son’s hockey team in the Victoria Minor Hockey League and also for the Baron’s Organization of Involvement (BOI).
When time permits and the kids grow older, Shalynn plans to continue her studies.
