After graduating from UBC education department in 1984, Terrie began a career in teaching private music lessons with R & R Music Centre. It is here that she began a lifelong profession of instructing piano students which participated in recitals, conservatory examinations, and competitions. Over the years, her students has won 1st places in their division; awards such as highest mark in JS Bach classes and Canadian Composers classes; and scholarships in both classical and pop music festivals. From 1990 to the present, Terrie moved back to Vancouver Island and continued her career as a studio piano and music theory teacher. While instructing for a Yamaha Music Centre and a Technics Music School, Terrie began to program music into their digital pianos to give the sound and atmosphere of performing with a full orchestra. Her ability to create musical arrangements of both pop and classical repertoire has earned her students several awards over the years.
In 1997, Terrie began to working as an assistant part time for an accounting firm, including the preparation of personal taxes. She came to work for NKPG in the spring of 2013.
